Are you looking for a gorgeous color to pair with the gray trend? Or, maybe you want a new color altogether. If so, an energy infused bold blue may be exactly what you’re looking for.
Have you bought into the nation-wide gray trend but found its neutrality a little uninteresting to live with? While some do enjoy a soft monochromatic look of layered grays, I’m finding many of my clients are now asking for a strong injection of color paired with gray to liven up their surroundings. So, why not try a bold blue?
Gray pairs beautifully with any number of clear bold colors, so satisfying my clients has been almost effortless. Notice the soft gray couch and bookshelf backings in this picture and then take note of the vibrant shades of bold blue, raspberry and grape green that fit in to perfection.
While one might think that a blue this vivid could overwhelm a room, frequently I find the opposite to be true. Sometimes a bold color is exactly what’s needed to give a room its own character, just as it has in the featured photo from Benjamin Moore.
If you suffer from commitment issues to strong color think about adding traditional white wainscot to calm your fears while lightening and brightening your space. The crisp contrast is sure to please!
